# Audit Logs

A guide to tracking and monitoring platform presence, credential changes, and operational activities within the Venator Client Portal.

The **Audit Logs** section provides visibility into user actions and system events. It enables clients to review login activity, credential updates, service requests, and other operational records. This ensures transparency, traceability, and security monitoring across the platform.

The Audit Logs module can be accessed from the Client Portal sidebar under **Account → Audit Logs**.

## **1. Audit Logs Interface**

The Audit Logs interface presents activity records in a structured, filterable layout.

* **Action Type filters**
  * All
  * Create
  * Update

  * Login
  * Logout
* **Resource Scope filters**
  * All
  * User
  * Service
  * Credential
  * Request
* **Activity List Section**
  * Timestamp
  * Action type indicator
  * Resource origin
  * Activity description
  * Record ID
  * User identity
  * Status indicator (e.g., Success)
  * Date
  * Expandable “Full Technical Record” option

This structure allows clients to efficiently filter, review, and investigate platform activities.

## **2. Using the Audit Logs Module**

The Audit Logs section enables users to monitor and analyze system and user-generated events.

### **Filtering Activities**

Users can refine displayed logs using:

* **Action Type** — Filters logs by activity category (e.g., Login, Create, Update).
* **Resource Scope** — Filters logs by the type of system resource affected (e.g., User, Credential, Service).

This filtering system helps quickly locate relevant events.

### **Activity Records**

Each log entry includes:

* **Action Label** — Type of activity performed (e.g., Login).
* **Time Stamp** — Exact time of the event.
* **Resource Source** — Origin or system classification.
* **Activity Description** — Summary of the event (e.g., “User logged in to platform”).
* **Record ID** — Unique identifier for traceability.
* **User Information** — Associated account.
* **Status** — Outcome of the activity (e.g., Success).
* **Event Date** — Date of occurrence.
* **Full Technical Record** — Expandable option for detailed system-level information.

This ensures complete visibility into operational events.

The Audit Logs module is commonly used for:

* Monitoring user login activity
* Tracking credential or profile updates
* Reviewing service-related operations
* Verifying successful or failed actions
* Investigating unexpected platform behavior
