# Billing

A centralized module for monitoring account balance, service consumption, and transaction activity within the Venator platform.

The **Billing & Usage** section provides real-time visibility into available credits, total service usage, and completed account deposits. It enables clients to track resource consumption, review billing records, and maintain transparency over service costs.

The **Billing & Usage module** can be accessed from the Client Portal sidebar under **Account → Billing**.

## **1. Billing & Usage Interface**

The **Billing & Usage interface** presents financial and usage information through summary cards, transaction history tables, and filtering tools.

The interface includes:

* Credit balance summary
* Service usage metrics
* Deposit statistics
* Usage history records
* Payment history records

This layout provides a clear overview of account activity and resource consumption.

## **2. Using the Billing & Usage Module**

The **Billing section** allows clients to monitor service costs, review billing activity, and track account balance changes.

### **Account Summary Cards**

At the top of the interface, summary cards display key billing metrics.

These cards provide quick insights into the account's financial and usage status.

The available summary indicators include:

#### **Available Credits**

Displays the current credit balance available for service consumption.

This value represents the amount that can be used for running verification services and API requests.

Example:

* **\$99,998.95 — Ready for service consumption**

#### **Total Usage**

Displays the total number of service transactions executed within the platform.

This metric represents the cumulative number of resource consumption events.

Example:

* **141 Total Usage**

#### **Total Deposits**

Displays the number of successful account top-ups or deposit transactions.

This indicates how many times the account balance has been funded.

Example:

* **0 Deposits**

### **Usage History**

The **Usage History** tab provides a detailed record of all service consumption events.

Each record represents a service transaction executed within the platform.

For each usage record, the system displays:

* **Service Name** — The service used for the transaction (e.g., AML Screening)
* **Transaction Timestamp** — Date and time when the request was processed
* **Transaction ID** — Unique identifier assigned to the billing transaction
* **Status** — Billing state of the transaction (e.g., Billed)
* **Cost (Credits)** — Amount deducted from the account balance

This allows clients to monitor how credits are consumed across different services.

### **Payment History**

The **Payment History** tab displays records of all account funding transactions.

This section provides visibility into:

* Deposit transactions
* Credit top-ups
* Payment confirmations

It allows clients to review when credits were added to the account.

### **Transaction Search & Filtering**

The Billing interface includes search and filtering capabilities to help locate specific records.

Users can:

* **Search by transaction ID or service name**
* **Filter transactions by time period** (e.g., All Time)

These tools help quickly identify specific billing events or usage activities.

## **3. Operational Use Cases**

The **Billing & Usage module** is commonly used for:

* Monitoring available service credits
* Tracking service usage and transaction counts
* Reviewing individual billing records
* Auditing service consumption costs
* Monitoring platform spending over time

This helps organizations maintain financial transparency and manage service consumption efficiently.
